Founded by Nicola Pasquinelli, we handle every aspect of your kitchen remodel from start to finish including design, material sourcing, project management, and installation.
Our process begins with a free in-home design consultation where Nicola meets with you to understand your goals, vision, and budget. From there we develop custom CAD drawings, photorealistic 3D renderings, and a detailed project proposal all before any work begins.
We are a licensed Maryland Home Improvement Contractor (MHIC #156314), BBB accredited with an A rating, and woman-owned.

Is Kitchens Rx licensed and insured?

The Remodeling Process
What is included in a full-service kitchen remodel?
A full-service Kitchens Rx remodel covers everything from design through final installation. This includes:
Design:Â Free initial consultation, professional CAD drawings and elevations, photorealistic 3D renderings, and full material selection guidance.
Materials: Cabinet procurement and installation, countertop supply and installation, flooring supply and installation, and backsplash design and installation.
Construction:Â Demolition and debris removal, plumbing disconnection and reconnection, electrical work as needed, paint, and full project management throughout.
Completion: Client walkthrough, and punch-out list to address any outstanding items before final payment.

How long does a kitchen remodel take?
Every project is different, and timeline depends heavily on the scope of work, the materials selected, and the specific needs of your kitchen. As a general range, most projects run anywhere from two weeks to three months from demo day to completion.
A straightforward cabinet and countertop replacement in an existing layout will move faster than a full gut remodel with electrical, plumbing, and layout changes. During your free consultation, Nicola will review your specific scope and give you a realistic timeline before any work begins.
What does the design process look like?
After your free consultation, Nicola develops your design using professional 2020 Design software. You will see custom CAD drawings with elevations and photorealistic 3D renderings of your exact kitchen using your exact materials, at your exact budget, before you commit to anything.
This means you see what your finished kitchen will look like before a single cabinet is ordered or a wall is touched. Material selections are made collaboratively with Nicola based on your style preferences, lifestyle, and budget.
Once the design is approved, a full project proposal is presented with complete scope and pricing.
Do you handle plumbing and electrical work?
Yes. Kitchens Rx manages plumbing and electrical as part of a full-service remodel. This includes disconnecting and reconnecting water supply lines, sink drains, and refrigerator water lines, as well as new circuits, outlets, and lighting as required by your project scope.
Where specialized trade work is needed, we bring in licensed subcontractors — but Nicola manages all coordination and communication so you have a single point of contact throughout the project.

What does the payment structure look like?
Kitchens Rx uses a milestone based payment structure tied to project progress. Payments are divided across key stages of the remodel, typically at signing, demo day, countertop installation, and final walkthrough, so you are never paying for work that has not been done yet.
The full payment schedule is included in your project proposal before you sign anything. We believe in complete transparency on cost and payment terms from day one.
MATERIALS AND BRANDS
What cabinet brands do you carry?
Kitchens Rx carries a curated selection of cabinet lines to suit a range of budgets and styles. We offer standard construction lines for budget conscious projects, semi custom options for a higher end look without the custom price tag, and full custom cabinetry for those who want to build exactly what they need.
During your design consultation, Nicola will recommend the right cabinet line based on your budget, style preferences, and the specific needs of your kitchen. Every cabinet line we carry, including our most budget friendly options, features plywood construction, soft close hinges, and soft close drawer slides as standard. The quality of our cabinet lines consistently exceeds what is available at big box stores at comparable price points.
What countertop materials do you offer?
We work with a wide range of countertop materials including granite, quartz, and other natural and engineered stone surfaces across multiple price levels. Material selection is done collaboratively during the design process and Nicola will present options that fit your style and budget.
Countertop installation, sink cutout, and edge profile selection are all included as part of a full service remodel.
Do you handle flooring and backsplash as well?
Yes. Flooring supply and installation and backsplash design and installation are both included as part of a full service remodel. We work with luxury vinyl tile, hardwood, tile, and other flooring options, and handle tile, quartz, and other backsplash materials.
All selections are coordinated through Nicola as part of the overall design so everything works together cohesively.
WORKING WITH KITCHENS RX
Who will I be working with throughout my project?
Nicola Pasquinelli leads design, sales, and client communication on every project. You will work directly with Nicola from your first consultation through project completion, not a salesperson or project coordinator, but the owner and designer herself.
Installation is led by Ernie, our dedicated crew lead, who brings skill, craftsmanship, and a whole lot of charm to every job. Fair warning, by the end of the project he will probably be your pet’s new best friend. Licensed trade subcontractors are brought in as needed for electrical and plumbing, and Nicola manages all coordination so your experience is seamless from start to finish.
Do you remodel spaces beyond kitchens?
Kitchens are our specialty and our passion. It is what we do best and where our deepest expertise lives. That said, we do take on other projects including bathrooms, laundry rooms, and other spaces on a case by case basis.
